Students at the North Somerset Enterprise and Technology College (NSETC) took part in a business breakfast hosted by The Hive, a business centre based on Beaufighter Road.
The breakfast marked the launch of the students’ mock interview programme which NSETC is undertaking in partnership with the Weston Rotary Club.
As well as networking with the Rotary members, students also had the opportunity to meet employers within The Hive including Simply HR who have previously visited NSETC to deliver a CV presentation.
The event proved a huge success, and students were given the opportunity to find work experience opportunities and secure placements.
Terry Gilbert, of the Weston Rotary Club, said: “We are delighted to partner with the students at NSETC. It is really important for them to gain employability skills and feel confident networking with the business community.”
Emma Cox, Employer Engagement Co-ordinator at NSETC, said: “We really appreciate the commitment local businesses and the Rotary give our students and careers programme.
“Working with employers gives our students opportunities to increase their skills and gain new experiences within the work place, ensuring they have access to the most up to date recruitment processes delivered by industry experts.”
